AI Streamlines Vetscan Imagyst Analyzer Findings
Zoetis launched AI Masses, the newest addition to the Vetscan Imagyst analyzer. AI Masses uses artificial intelligence to detects potentially neoplastic cells, supporting veterinarian diagnoses and clinic workflows.
The newest indication enhances Zoetis’ digital cytology offering by enabling fast, accurate AI analysis of lymph node and skin/subcutaneous masses, delivering results in minutes. There are 7 unique testing applications. By leveraging advanced deep learning algorithms, AI Masses identifies and classifies common skin/subcutaneous masses and lymph node lesions. These real-time insights at the point of care allows veterinarians to make timely decisions about the animal’s care. For added diagnostic confidence, an expert clinical pathologist reviews the findings via Digital Cytologym and Add-on Expert Review are accessible within hours.
“By empowering veterinary teams with valuable insights into potentially cancerous cells, we are helping to reduce waiting times and alleviate stress for pet owners facing some of the most challenging moments with their beloved pets,” said Abhay Nayak, the president, Global Diagnostics at Zoetis. Like other AI applications in the platform, it requires familiar sample preparation, streamlining processes, reducing workflow disruptions, and empowering clinics to manage cases with confidence.
Zoetis will spotlight AI Masses at the upcoming 40th World Veterinary Association Congress, in conjunction with the AVMA Convention 2025, July 18-22, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The new capability became available on all Vetscan Imagyst analyzers on June 2. MeV
